The Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies holds panel discussion on the turbulent events in Iran during winter and spring 2026 against a backdrop of a long history of authoritarianism and amid geopolitical and nuclear tensions.
The invited speakers will discuss current developments and future prospects for regime change, civil rights for Iranians as well as broader political and developments in the region.
Together, the panelists will explore how international and domestic dynamics intertwine, how women’s and minority rights are affected by the current situation, as well as broader regional dynamics when it comes to relations to Israel, Saudi Arabia and the US, as well as the past and future of nuclear agreements.
The event is free and open to all.
